BOAT OF DEATH WAS FOUND IN NORWAY
Excavations of the Viking ship will be carried out by archaeologists in southern Norway.
The ship was buried approximately between the VIII-X centuries of our era near Halden. According to archaeologists, he served as the tomb of a noble Viking, and possibly the king.
For excavation, the government allocated $ 1.6 million and they will begin after approval by parliament.
In addition to archaeological excavations, scientists are going to make a three-dimensional computer model of the ship for the possibility of then reconstructing the ship.
To date, three such tomb ships are known, the latter was excavated more than a hundred years ago. It was the Oseberg Vessel, excavated in 1904, and exhibited at the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo.
