The Japanse company named Prefered Networks Inc. is devoloping technology to create a society where robots can actively support peoples daily life. The company exhibited a fully-autonomous tidying-up robot system using HSRs (Human Support Robots) developed by Toyota Motor Corporation at the CEATEC 2018.


Prefered Networks Company announced they have utilized deep learning techniques to enable the robot to recognize objects and understand spoken language as well as controlling the robot because robots in the home need to respond flexibly to dynamic and complex situations and communicate naturally with humans.


It can pick and place various scattered items in their designated locations

The computer vision engine was an extended version of the PFDet model that won 2nd place in the Google AI Open Images international object detection competition.


The robot can pick and place various scattered items in their designated locations. And It allows intuitive control by verbal and gesture instructions.
